Es fing an mit dem Puppenspiel von Monika Demenga, er besuchte das “Konzi” in Bern und integrierte sich bestens in das Musik-, Theater- und Filmleben von Bern bis Zürich. Sein Leben wurde dokumentiert im “Second Life” (https://galerie9.com/links/a-second-life---stories-of/second-life.html - (Jiří Růžička begins at 08:36 – 15:49).
Jiří kehrte nach 1989 nach Prag, kam jedoch immer wieder nach Bern, um mit Monika Demenga und Hans Wirth jeweils ein neues Puppenspiel zu inszenieren und die Musik dazu zu komponieren.
